We’ve all heard it a million times before – sagging skin and wrinkles are an inevitable part of growing old. I could say the exact same thing about aching muscles, sore joints, loss of memory, and a lack of energy, to name just a few age related symptoms. However, we also all know that not everyone suffers from all these symptoms as they grow older, and in fact, you get many old people who are in better physical shape than many young people. The reason for this is simply because some people aren’t prepared to just sit back and wait for the end to arrive.
In truth, dealing with sagging skin is far easier than having to deal with other age related ailments, such as arthritis for example. You don’t need to take any potentially dangerous prescription drugs, you don’t need to miss out on any fun filled activities, and of course, you don’t have to go for expensive surgery. While many people with sagging skin do opt for cosmetic surgery, I personally think they’re crazy, given all the risks involved.
Now, if you think you can take some sort of miracle pill or some other form of dietary supplement, and then wake up in the morning with the skin of an adolescent, I’m afraid you’re going to be horribly disappointed. The same can be said as far as creams, lotions, and moisturizers are concerned. Sure, some manufacturers like to imply that their expensive cream will have you looking like an eighteen year old by the morning, but hopefully you have enough common sense to know better than to believe such outlandish claims.
In reality, there are no creams, lotions, pills, or any other type of product out there capable of keeping you wrinkle free forever. Having said that, there are a handful of skin care products that can without a doubt reduce the effects of sagging skin, and in fact, they can virtually eliminate fine lines and wrinkles entirely, within reason of course.
When it comes to combating sagging skin, fine lines, and even wrinkles, there are two key things you need to bear in mind.
- Watch what you eat – one’s diet plays a significant role in the aging process. For example, Omega-3 fatty oils go hand in hand with skin health, and unless your diet includes plenty of oily fish, you’re probably not getting enough Omega-3. To be on the safe side, it’s advisable to take good quality supplements sourced from a reputable manufacturer. You also need to make sure your diet contains plenty of fruit and fresh vegetables, and of course, drinking plenty of water is of paramount importance.
- Never ever use any cream or lotion on your face if it contains any potentially dangerous chemicals. Instead, opt for all-natural skincare products, and even then, be warned that certain natural ingredients can be harmful as well. After all, crude oil is a natural product, but you wouldn’t want to use it on your face.
Sagging skin can be dealt with, but as mentioned earlier, it takes a little bit of effort. Using a good quality skincare products can make your quest so much easier, but remember, even the best products cannot perform miracles.
