Facial tips are always a hot topic, and as millions of people have discovered, they can really be of value in our never ending quest to have eternal beauty. In this short post, I’m going to discuss a few wonderful tips which could have you looking younger than ever in as little as 30 days. Before we begin however, let’s take a look at a few of the most bizarre beauty tips ever. For your own sake, and for the sake of your loved ones, please don’t try these at home.
Bizarre Tip No.1
During the Renaissance period, having a milky white complexion, totally free of blemishes, was of the utmost importance. As a result, those women who were left with blemishes stemming from diseases such as smallpox, where desperate to conceal the blemishes, and believe it or not, but the beauty tip of the day involved applying white lead to the face. This would conceal and sores and blemishes, and it would result in that sought after white appearance, but unfortunately it also killed scores of people.
Bizarre Tip No.2
Also during the Renaissance, both men and women were somewhat obsessed with hair removal, but with no depilatory creams being available in those days, they turn to the next best thing – arsenic and quicklime. Thankfully by the time the Second World War arrived, beauty tips had progressed, and women were advised to use sandpaper for removing unwanted hair.
Bizarre Tip No.3
The desire to look younger has been around ever since the beginning of history, and in ancient Rome and Greece, aristocrats were willing to go to extreme measures in order to rid themselves of wrinkles. A top favorite tip at the time involved the frequent use of crocodile dung face masks. While this may sound rather disgusting in these modern times, at least the masks were harmless, unlike so many of the other skin care solution.
Are Modern Day Beauty Tips Any Better?
There is simply no denying the fact that they are, but then again, if facial tips involve the use of any type of chemical, or even any skin care product containing chemicals, then perhaps they’re almost as bizarre as those tips mentioned above. While many people believe there’s essentially nothing wrong with the average skin care product, and that virtually all creams and lotions are safe to use, I think history may well prove people wrong. Already we are seeing more and more common ingredients being linked to serious illnesses, including liver damage, kidney damage, and even different cancers.
What Are the Best Tips for Having Beautiful Skin?
Some people write pages and pages regarding facial tips, but in reality, there are only 5 real tips:
- Stay out of the sun, or if you must be in the sun, always use a good quality sunscreen
- Make sure you get the necessary amount of sleep each night, which is ideally 6 to 8 hours
- Eat a healthy diet consisting primarily of fresh fruits and vegetable
- Get regular physical exercise and also be sure to kick any bad habits
- Only use all-natural skin care products, such as those in the Xtend-Life range
Remember, when it comes to skin care, even one chemical is one chemical too many – if a product isn’t safe enough to ingest, it’s also not safe enough to be used on your skin.
